Dear House Church,
Welcome to my informal, conversational, weekly-ish-on-most-Fridays (today it’s Saturday!) email. My goal is to connect with you, and inform, include and invite you to whatever the next thing is for our church life together.
Due to so much rain over the weekend making it muddy and mosquito-y at the park, let’s have church on Zoom this weekend - Sunday at 10:30 - and postpone our Pop-Up Church to another Sunday this month.
That said, Pop-Up Church has been a brilliant idea to keep us safe and connected. I hope you make it to the next one. Watch social (or if you’re not on social, check the Newsfeed of our church app for real-time info without having to be on social media…!!)
If you haven’t been around in a while, shoot me a text or give me a call! I’d love to catch up with you and hear what’s going on in your life. Or let’s plan to sit on a patio or next to the fireplace somewhere together. Your wellbeing matters, and my deepest desire is that you stay healthy and hopeful.
As we enter the holiday season when memories and moods abound, stay connected to church as home base. It makes a world of difference to have a faithful community around you in every season.
Speaking of that, look at this beautiful letter I received this week from an anonymous sender that shares their experience here: “House Church has renewed my hope for community, my desire to plant roots, and my love for the beauty and wholeness that is loving God. I love and appreciate all that you do, and have done for me, my family, and our folks. Keep saying yes to God - I’m glad to be here and be a part of this local body.”
I love it when people share their experience of belonging to the House Church community. I’d love to hear your story, too! For me, it’s been the joy of my life to be part of this body - and it keeps getting better, stronger, and healthier.
Announcements and Thank Yous:
Thanks for your generosity to keep the ministry financially healthy! We are able to keep the bills paid and give hospitably to those in need inside and outside our church. Together we bless so many lives. The ministry and message of our church will outlive the pandemic for generations to come!
Coffee & Theology Wednesdays at 8am. Recordings available on the app afterward. This is a time to get deep with spiritual concepts and ask difficult questions. https://zoom.us/j/4263965521
Download our church app to access everything (including zoom links for services which are the same every time) we’ve got going at the church, past service recordings including CAT, and you can give from there, too. Be sure to check out the “Audios” and the “Blog” section of the app: https://tithely.app.link/
It’s the joy of my life to be in a loving community with you. You are a uniquely important part of the body that is this church. Together we are rising.
Love Insists,
Pastor Bonnie
