Sending love and joy from my family to yours, and I want to share a few things with you.
The meal and gift card drive for Lindsey House went really well this week. Those who signed up met at the church to package 70 homemade meals for their party, and we gave each program participant, and staff, a gift card. Thank you to everyone who donated time, treasure and talent. You are such a blessing and you showed up when it might have been easier to fade into the background. Thank you!
It's sad not to be together as a church in our space celebrating like usual. We all feel that and more.
Advent was great this year. Joy, peace, hope, and love abounded within our community as we shared the devotionals each week, zoom church on Sundays, and open church on Saturdays for the self-guided worship experience. Everyone, and everything, together provided a lot of cheer for all who came near.
All together we have stayed connected this year, and we have good plans for 2021. If you haven't had a chance to welcome all our newer folks, please take a moment to send a text or card! Look in the directory app, we have welcomed 9 new families to HouseChurch over COVID-19! And do take a moment to welcome our newest couple, Jill Riggan and Kendra Acton! Welcome to the House!
I pray more than anything that you are blessed with peace over the holidays as we say goodbye to 2020 and welcome the New Year. I invite you to take an inner posture of bowing humbly to what was in 2020, and bow humbly to what will be in 2021. Pause before making plans as usual. Listen and have spiritual ears to hear what the Spirit is speaking to you for your life in this new season.
One last thing, no church Sunday the 27th. Be blessed as you take the day for yourself...look at social media for ideas on how to engage your spirit this weekend.
Peace,
Bonnie
