House Church,
Here's my informal, conversational, weekly-ish email. My goal is to connect, inform and include you in everything that’s happening in our Church. There are lots of exciting things happening in the House!
I do want to say thank you to everyone who gave to me and the other pastors for Pastor’s Appreciation month. You guys surprised me and you know me so well! Thank you so much for letting me know you’re all still out there! I feel the love.
Come Home for the Holidays! I am pleased to announce that we will have church in person starting this Sunday, the 7th, at 10:30 a.m.! Join me on Sunday during the months of November and December at our Fellowship Hall. Kid’s church provided.
The holidays are a special time of year to gather, and I believe that we need each other more than ever. The pandemic has been such an isolating time, and community is vital to our spiritual and mental health. Come back home to House Church and let’s lift each other up!
Open Doors and Open Mics
Thursdays at the church, we will have open doors and open mics as the worship band practices from 5:30-7:00pm. If you want to participate, bring an instrument or your voice and the door will be open for you to join us.
Food Pantry
Food pantry and community outreach: we are able to help so many families both monetarily and through our food pantry. As we begin to gather in the church building again, please consider bringing dry goods to restock the pantry. As always, if you need anything, please take it!
To those of you who made all of our Pop-Up churches so special, thank you! We took advantage of the weather while we could and they were a lot of fun. It is now time to return home, and I’m confident we can do so safely. Masks are optional. Wristbands to indicate your level of comfort in social distancing will be available.
House Church has the neatest families and singles, and kids and couples of all kinds and types. In the church there is to be an ethos of harmony, humility and above all love - not only to siblings in the faith but to “outsiders” and “enemies” as well. It’s a marvelous collection of people developing in matters of faith, hope, Spirit, and love. I’ve never experienced anything quite like our particular community that is diverse, open and so genuinely friendly - I am here for this! And I say YES over and over again. I serve to witness, steward and support the full expression of each individual within this body as we grow together.
If you haven’t been around in a while, shoot me a text or give me a call! I’d love to catch up with you and hear what’s going on in your life. Or let’s plan to sit on a patio or next to the fireplace somewhere together.
It’s the joy of my life to be in a loving community with you.
Love Insists,
Pastor Bonnie
Holiday church schedule: Sundays in November except for Thanksgiving Sunday the 28th. And, Sundays in December except for the day after Christmas, the 26th.
Thanks for your generosity to keep the ministry financially healthy! We are able to keep the bills paid and give hospitably to those in need inside and outside our church. Together we bless so many lives. The ministry and message of our church will outlive the pandemic for generations to come!
