House Church,
Here's my informal, conversational, weekly-ish email. My goal is to connect, inform and include you in everything that’s happening in our Church. There are lots of ways to connect at the House!
This Weekend at The House!
I love how it feels at church during this season! Saturday is the kid’s party, all kiddos welcome, 11-3, lunch served at 12:30 p.m., they will make crafts, cards, watch a movie, and eat together so make plans to have adult-time while they have kid-time!
Sunday is church in-person and on Zoom at 10:30 a.m. (check the app for the link..it is the same every time)
And I wanted to let you know that the other church that meets upstairs, All Saints/Todos los Santos, (at First Lutheran) is planning a special celebration on Sunday, December 12th. That is the Feast day of our Lady of Guadalupe. It is a very popular celebration among those who come from Mexico. (Guadalupe is known as the Patron saint of the Americas.) Their Mass will begin with a procession around the church with a statue of the Virgin de Guadalupe. They plan to have a Mariachi band playing for their worship service at 12:00, and at 1:30, they will have Guadalupian dancers come to offer dances to honor God and Our Lady of Guadalupe. The dancers dress in colorful Aztec costumes.
Home for the Holidays
Join me in person on Sundays, or online on Zoom, at 10:30am in December at our Fellowship Hall. Kid’s church provided. Masks are optional, and wristbands are available to indicate your comfort level in social distancing.
Hospitality Ministry
This ministry is hopping at this time of year! Get on the list of folks who are “in the know” and able to leap into action to serve. Pastor Heid is in charge and makes sure that people get meals, love, prayer and care when going through surgeries, life changes, sickness and celebrations! Be on her team to share the love and care that this ministry is all about. Contact her to be on this team: 918-902-1930
Open Mic and Open Doors
Another night to connect: Thursdays in December at the church, we will have open doors and open mics as the worship band practices from 5:30-7:00 p.m.. If you want to participate, bring an instrument or your voice and the door will be open for you to join the fun.
Advent
Advent is a time of expectation and invitation to host Christ the Lord in every part of our lives. We are on week 3 which is JOY. Keep up by reading the week’s devo and doing the activity. Below are the links to access digitally. April Hammonds has printed copies waiting for all families with kiddos at the church, be sure to get yours from her the next Sunday we are together. Otherwise, you can view them and print them on your own here and in the church app! So easy.

Food Pantry
Food pantry and community outreach: we are able to help so many families both monetarily and through our food pantry. As we gather in the church building again, please consider bringing dry goods to restock the pantry. As always, if you need anything, please take it!
Final Thoughts
Belonging to this community is very special. The love and support that is shared here is a mystery that continues only by tremendous helpings of grace and patience. Together, we walk through tough times, we heal, we rejoice, and we become the change we want to see in our families and cities.
House Church is a spiritual hub for many. It's a spiritual homebase. I invite you to gather with me these Sundays during the Holidays to pray and sing and dance together. Let's shed our tears and hold one another and usher in this new season that is begging to be born within and among us.
